Os sink Bees

Leyton Orient battled their way to a 1-0 win over derby rivals Brentford to climb off the bottom of League One. The decisive goal came in the 25th minute when Stephen Dawson and Charlie Daniels combined to tee up Scott McGleish for his third of the season. The nearest Brentford came to a reply was defender Michael Spillane's header against Orient's post from a Nicky Adams free-kick six minutes before the break. In the second half Bees midfielder Myles Weston laid on a chance for striker Gary Alexander but his header was well off target. At the other end Orient substitute Jimmy Smith was inches away in added time.
