Norwegian midfielder Vemund Brekke Skard has confirmed he is set to be handed a trial with League One outfit Brentford.
Skard, who was released by Championship side Ipswich Town in the summer, looked like returning to his homeland to join HamKam but failed to secure a contract before the transfer window closed last week.
However, Bees boss Leroy Rosenior has been alerted to Skard's availability on a free transfer and the player revealed he is due to be given the chance to win a contract at Griffin Park in he near future.
He said: "It was disappointing not to get a contract with HamKam. Now I just have to wait and see what happens.
"My agent has told me that Brentford have shown some interest and have invited me for a trial. I don't know when yet."
