Brentford's versatile midfielder Nico Yennaris has targeted top-flight football after signing his new deal with the club.

Yennaris, 22, put pen to paper on a three-year contract on Tuesday, the same day defender Harlee Dean signed his new two-year deal.

"I think for any player three years is a very good contract, it gives you a chance to just focus on the games ahead and the following seasons," Yennaris told the club's official website.

"Both parties were keen to get me signed up and secured here so everything went well and I'm looking forward to kicking on now.

"Premier League football is where I want to be playing, hopefully we do that with Brentford. If it means I push on by playing well then hopefully that happens.

"I have shown I can play at this level and I'm looking forward to carrying on stamping myself on the game and hopefully push on."

Yennaris, who has featured 17 times for the Bees this season, progressed through Arsenal's academy and after making four first-team appearances, joined Brentford for an undisclosed fee in January 2014.
