Brentford manager Andy Scott has made Reading's central defender Alan Bennett his 11th signing of the summer.

The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international returns to Griffin Park, initially on a month's loan, after making 11 appearances during a temporary spell with the Bees last term.

Scott has also handed loan deals to Bristol City duo James Wilson and Frankie Artus.

However, the League Two side have decided not to offer a contract to Leigh Mills, who had been on trial at the club.
