MacDonald injury blow for Bees

06 April 2009 15:41
The Bees' 18-goal top-scorer suffered a dislocated shoulder against Gillingham last weekend and will undergo an operation on Tuesday, when the full extent of the damage will become clear. MacDonald is the third Brentford forward to suffer a season-ending injury in recent weeks, with Nathan Elder recovering from a fractured cheekbone and eye socket and Jordan Rhodes out with a broken metatarsal. The Bees will now have to rely on loanees Billy Clarke, Sam Williams and Damian Spencer to fire them to promotion.
