Brentford manager Andy Scott was pleased with the business he managed to complete on transfer deadline day.
Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny, Huddersfield Town winger Lionel Ainsworth, and Ipswich Town defender Tommy Smith all extended their loan stays until the end of the season, as did Peterborough United midfielder Toumani Diagouraga.
However, it was the capture of Bristol City striker John Akinde on an initial month-long deal which seems to have pleased Scott the most.
He told the Hounslow Guardian: "He's a big, strong, powerful forward and has done well at Bristol City and Gary Johnson has been pretty pleased with him.
"He's been in their first-team squad, but they want him to get games and we can give him that."
