    Hunt agrees Bees switch

    10 Jan 2009 - 15:30:09

Midfielder David Hunt has joined Brentford on a short-term deal after being allowed to leave their League Two rivals Shrewsbury Town.

The 26-year-old had been with the Shrews since the summer of 2007, but had rarely featured for Town during the first half of the current campaign.

Hunt told his new club's official website: "I'm really happy to sign for Brentford, particularly so as I was keen to return where my roots are in London.

"I knew the gaffer from my time at Leyton Orient and had no qualms about signing.

"I believe I can be a real asset to the side and am really looking forward to the opportunity to prove myself."
