Brentford have offered club captain Matt Heywood a new contract as Bees boss Andy Scott starts to prepare for next season.

The 28-year-old has been a stalwart in the League Two side for the last two seasons and Scott is keen to build his squad around the former Swindon Town defender.

Meanwhile, the club have taken up the option on teenage striker Ross Montague's current contract, and he will remain at Griffin Park next season.

However, Lewis Dark has not been offered a new deal.
