Halls agrees to Bees stay
26 Sep 2008 - 06:58:31
Brentford have signed former Reading and Stoke City full-back John Halls on a deal running until the end of the season.
The 26-year-old is a free agent after leaving the Royals at the end of last season and goes straight into the Bees squad for the clash with Chesterfield at the weekend.
Manager Andy Scott told the club's official website: "We have agreed a contract with John until the end of the season on the proviso that, should another club from a higher level wish to sign him, we will not stand in their way.
"He is very confident in his own ability and that attitude, together with his experience, should prove invaluable to us.
"It actually says a lot about the club that we are now able to attract players of this type."
