Forster: We were second best

Brentford boss Nicky Forster readily conceded his side had been beaten by the better side after they lost 3-0 at Hartlepool. Andy Monkhouse opened the scoring after 36 minutes when his shot crashed off the underside of the bar and then grabbed his fifth goal in six games after the break. Gary Liddle drilled home from 12 yards late on and Forster had no complaints with the outcome. He said: "We were beaten fair and square, no arguments. "We weren't good enough individually. We wanted to get the ball down and play and the first time we did it was 77 minutes when the game was gone. "Me and the players are disappointed. But the last five games have been fantastic and it`s been a very good run. There was always a defeat somewhere and it's how we react to it."
