Forster staying positive

Brentford manager Nicky Forster was disappointed to see his men lose for the third time in succession as they went down 3-2 at Walsall. Two goals from veteran striker Jon Macken and one from winger Jordan Cook clinched the points for the Saddlers, while central defender Pim Balkestein and striker Lewis Grabban were on target for the Bees. Forster said: "I thought their first goal was important because it brought them back into the game. But when someone hits a shot like that from distance you have to hold up your hands and say it was a fantastic goal. "Until that point in the game I didn`t think they were close. We played some really good stuff, split their lines and got good balls into the goalmouth. But I don't think people should underestimate the momentous effort that has been made to get us where we are. "It's disappointing to lose three games on the spin but we shall regroup and must remember we have come from 17th in the table to having a slim chance of the play-offs. "Their first goal definitely changed the game and gave Walsall a foothold from nowhere. We`ve scored two goals away from home and in the second half. Sammy Saunders put in two great crosses and we should have scored from at least one of them."
