Forster stands defiant

Brentford manager Nicky Forster refused to rule out a late play-off push after his side were edged out 1-0 at home to bottom club Swindon. Swindon striker Calvin Andrew's 80th-minute strike was the difference between two shot-shy sides, clinching Town their first league win in 19 games since a 4-2 victory at Charlton on January 3. Forster, whose side were beaten 1-0 by Carlisle in last Sunday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy final, said: "I was asking for a response after Wembley, but we didn't really get it and that's very disappointing. "I'm not sure if it was a case of after the Lord Mayor's show, but in a nutshell we didn't really get hold of the game. "It's difficult to put your finger on why we didn't respond and keep up the momentum in the league, but the best thing is we have a game in a few days where we can get going again and if we do that then the whole perspective changes again. "We know that we're not creating enough in terms of ammunition for the strikers, but we'll keep going until the end of the season for every game and see where we end up."
