Forster halts Bees' slide

Myles Weston fired a double either side of the break to clinch a 2-0 home win over Plymouth and halt Brentford's seven-game winless run in caretaker-manager Nicky Forster's first game in charge. Weston headed home Charlie MacDonald's cross in the 35th minute and rifled home another ball into the area from the same player 11 minutes into the second half to condemn Plymouth to a third straight league defeat. Forster, who took over from Andy Scott on Thursday, said: "I asked for a reaction from the players and I definitely got one. "The lads were fantastic and managed themselves and took control of the game from the very start. The crowd were instrumental in getting us off to a great start." Forster was unable to shed any light on how long he will be asked to manage the side, but is clearly revelling in the experience and the chance of leading the Bees to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final. He added: "I set a target of a win here and then getting us to Wembley and we are halfway there. If I'm in charge for two games my aim is to win them both. If it's five games then I want to win them all. It's as simple as that."
