Leicester defender Robbie Neilson could be allowed to stay on loan at Brentford for the rest of the season.
The right-back is set to return to the Walkers Stadium this month but manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has said the promotion-chasing Foxes could manage without the Scot, provided they do not incur any more injuries.
Patrick van Aanholt currently has a thigh injury but the on-loan Chelsea full-back is expected to be back in first-team contention in around three weeks.
"As long as we don't have any injuries, then yes (he can stay)," Eriksson told the Leicester Mercury.
"We have van Aanholt out but we can live with that as long as we don't have any more injuries, so he can stay."
