Elder earns Bees extension

Brentford striker Nathan Elder has signed a one-year contract extension to keep him at Griffin Park until the end of next season.

The 23-year-old frontman has scored eight goals in 32 appearances since joining the Bees from Brighton & Hove Albion in January and is well thought of by manager Andy Scott.

He told the club's official website: "It's early days in Nathan's career, but he is an asset to the club and in time can be an even bigger asset.

"If he continues to improve and work on the things that he needs to, then he can be a valuable player to us over the next couple of years."
