Elder fails in red-card appeal
The Bees lodged an appeal with the FA after Elder was dismissed by referee Stuart Attwell for leading with his elbow in an aerial challenge with County's Mike Edwards.[LNB]After studying video footage of the incident, Bees boss Andy Scott said: "It wasn't a violent challenge, it was simply two players colliding while attempting to go for the same ball."[LNB]But the FA panel have upheld Attwell's decision, and because the red card was Elder's second of the season he misses the next four games.[LNB][LNB][LNB]
