Duo ready for Wembley dream

Brentford duo Sam Wood and Leon Legge will be pinching themselves when they step out at Wembley for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final. Just three years ago winger Wood and defender Legge were plying their trade at non-league outposts while holding down part-time jobs. But former carpet fitter Wood, plucked from Bromley, and Legge, an adult care worker signed from Tonbridge Angels, are now part of a Bees side which will take on Carlisle in front of 40,000 fans. "Everyone thinks about playing at Wembley but in the non-league days, when I was working part-time as a carpet fitter and working at Bluewater, you think it's just a dream," Wood, 24, said. "But obviously dreams do come true. "A lot of top players who play in the Premier League don't even get there so I'm privileged to get the opportunity." Legge said: `This is the biggest moment for me so far. It was always a dream but I never imagined it really. There is a coachload of about 50 people coming to see me from the bar my family drink in, so hopefully I'll give them a good day."
