Brentford have extended the loans of Robbie Neilson and Nathan Byrne until the end of the season. Scottish right-back Neilson initially signed from Leicester on February 17 and has gone on to make 12 appearances for the club, while versatile 18-year-old Byrne has appeared eight times since arriving from Tottenham on February 21. Meanwhile, the Bees have also announced that Nicholas Bignall has returned to parent club Reading and Trevor Carson has been recalled by Sunderland. Bignall made seven appearances following his move from the Royals in January, but failed to score. Goalkeeper Carson, who made just the one appearance for the club, has been recalled by the Black Cats to provide cover for Simon Mignolet following the news that Craig Gordon has undergone knee surgery.
