Caretaker keen on Bees job

Caretaker manager Andy Scott is interested in replacing sacked former boss Terry Butcher at the helm of Brentford. Butcher was sacked earlier this month after leading the Bees to just five wins in his 23 games in charge. Scott has led the League Two side to a win and a draw in his first two games - including a 1-1 stalemate with in-form MK Dons on Friday evening - and is hoping to take the reins on a full-time basis. "With Christmas coming up when you don't do much training it would be hard for someone else to come in," he told the club's official website. "That's a benefit to me as I can have more games. "If we can get more results like this I'd like to think it would be hard for the board not to give me it."
