Judge set for Bees bow

Alan Judge could make his Brentford debut against Port Vale after joining the leaders on loan from Blackburn.

Fellow midfielder Jonathan Douglas will be checked over after coming off against Peterborough with a tight hamstring while winger Kadeem Harris and striker Will Grigg have also been struggling with hamstring problems.

During a busy week at Griffin Park, Arsenal youngster Chuba Akpom has also arrived on loan while Chelsea midfielder George Saville and Fulham forward Marcello Trotta have extended their loan deals until the end of the season.

Aaron Pierre is back at the club after a loan spell with Cambridge but fellow defender Ben Nugent has returned to Cardiff and striker Farid El Alagui has joined Dundee United.

Port Vale hope to have Chris Lines back.

Lines has missed the last two games but the midfielder has been able to take part in light training this week after making a rapid recovery from a cracked rib.

"Chris was able to train on Tuesday but we will continue to monitor him," said manager Micky Adams. "Training is non-contact for him at the moment, but he is running and feels okay. Hopefully he will be okay for Saturday."

Defender Richard Duffy is expected to require a lengthy lay-off after he was carried off on a stretcher with an ankle injury during the draw against Plymouth in the FA Cup so Adams has confirmed that on-loan Fulham teenager Jack Grimmer will make his debut, while Joe Davis is back from his loan at Luton and will also feature.
