Bees wait on Craig

Brentford are hopeful Tony Craig will be fit to face Bristol City.

Defender Craig broke his hand during Friday night's win over Gillingham but managed to complete the match and could face City wearing a protective cast.

He may be joined at the back by fellow centre-back Harlee Dean, who is battling to overcome a groin injury.

Midfielder Adam Forshaw is also close to fitness after a calf strain and winger Sam Saunders hopes to shake off a knock, while youngster Nico Yennaris could be in the squad after joining from Arsenal on Monday.

Bristol City will wait on midfielder Scott Wagstaff.

The former Charlton man remains a doubt after sitting out the Robins' 3-1 loss to Wolves with a hamstring problem but he is Steve Cotterill's only injury worry ahead of the trip.

However Cotterill has hinted at rotating areas of the squad with their matches coming thick and fast in the coming weeks.

He has a number of squad players available to step into the XI. Joe Bryan picked up some valuable minutes in Monday's Under-21 win over Millwall, along with the likes of Wes Burns and Frank Fielding.
