Brentford have signed goalkeeper Simon Moore on a one-year contract. The 19-year-old came through Southampton's academy and more recently played for Southern League side Farnborough Town. Moore featured in three pre-season friendlies for the Bees at Farnborough, Sutton United and Harrow Borough. The teenager is expected to be on the bench when Brentford take on Bristol City in the first round of the Carling Cup on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sam Wood has agreed a two-year extension to his contract at Brentford. The 23-year-old made 44 appearances for the Bees in last season's League Two title winning campaign and won the club's player of the season award.
