Gr-eight for O's

Second-half goals from David Mooney and Shaun Batt made it eight wins out of eight for Leyton Orient as they swept aside Brentford 2-0.

Mooney struck with a 61st-minute penalty at the same ground where he missed a spot-kick last season, and substitute Batt wrapped up the win five minutes from time.

Brentford had their chances in the first half but Harlee Dean was off target with a fierce drive, while Mooney headed over for the visitors.

But the breakthrough came when Shaleum Logan tugged at Mooney's shirt in the area, and the Irishman coolly dispatched the penalty for his eighth goal of the season.

Batt came on in the closing stages and made the game safe with a fine finish from the edge of the box to send Orient five points clear at the top.
