Bees snare loanee Reid

Brentford manager Andy Scott managed to sign Reuben Reid on a three-month loan arrangement from Plymouth Argyle just before the transfer window closed at midnight on Thursday.

Scott also agreed to terminate Lee Thorpe's contract and the striker has since signed for Rochdale until the end of the campaign.

Scott told the Bees' official website: "Reuben is a young enthusiastic player who is looking to progress in professional football.

"He has the opportunity here to show he is worthy of gaining a contract for next season."
