Bees land Stone on loan

Brentford have strengthened their midfield options with the loan capture of Gillingham midfielder Craig Stone.

The 19-year-old has joined the resurgent League Two club on an initial one-month loan deal.

Stone has made 12 appearances for the Gills this season, but has been allowed to leave on a temporary basis in a bid to further his football education.

The teenager will join fellow new signing Jordan Parkes in the squad to face Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

The 18-year-old defender joined the Bees on a month's loan from Watford earlier in the week.
