Bees efforts please Fitz

Brentford's caretaker boss Scott Fitzgerald was pleased with the efforts of his players in the 1-1 draw with Tranmere Rovers, despite the Bees being without a win in 19 games. The point was not enough to lift Brentford off the foot of League One, but Fitzgerald was content with an improved display from the 4-0 home thumping by Doncaster Rovers in midweek. He said: "The determination was there for everyone to see, but it should be there every week. "It is the minimum requirement for any football side that I'm in charge of. "I said on Tuesday that they let themselves and the supporters down. By the same token they didn't this time and I thought we were on the front foot for most of the game."
