Bees character delights boss

Brentford manager Andy Scott praised the character in his ranks after Tuesday's 3-0 victory over Aldershot Town. The Bees consolidated second place in the League Two table just days after producing a below-par display in a 2-0 defeat at Macclesfield Town. Marcus Bean, Charlie MacDonald and Jordan Rhodes were all on the mark at Griffin Park. "The whole team had balls tonight," Scott told the club's official website. "Given what happened on Saturday, we asked for a reaction and to do it in that manner show the character we have. "There was a determination in their eyes, not just tonight but yesterday as well. "I told them they were second in the league, had kept ten clean sheets and were the best team in the last eight games. "Those sorts of stats tell the truth about teams. "Ever since I have been here we have talked about belief, in themselves, each other and in what we are doing. "They showed that tonight, without a shadow of a doubt."
