Bees boss targets striker

New Brentford manager Andy Scott is hoping to sign a striker to bolster his strikeforce in the January transfer window. Scott currently has both Lee Thorpe and Charlie Ide sidelined by injuries and he is eager to bring in a fresh face to keep his side's positive momentum going. He told the Richmond Times: "We have got a budget to stick to and have got to make some changes, but what I will do is get the right type of player in. "Those who are hungry and want to play will fit in with the framework we have got. "We have got a good team spirit here now and I don't want to bring in someone who will undo all the good work we've done. So character is very important to me. "I am not going to jump in and get someone who is wrong for the club."
