Bees boss looks to loans

Brentford boss Scott Fitzgerald is planning to bolster his struggling squad with loan signings when the window opens again later in the week.

The loan window reopens on Thursday and Fitzgerald is preparing to add to his side which is currently toiling in 23rd place in the League One table.

"I am looking to strengthen in all areas. I have people in mind for when the loan window reopens on Thursday," he said.

"I hope something will come off. If we can get players like Lloyd (Owusu), Stuart (Nelson), Matt (Heywood) and Kevin (O'Connor) back, we won't need to sign anyone else.

"But at the moment, they are a bit away from being available, so I think we need to bring another one in."
