Bees striker on road to recovery

Elder suffered a fractured cheekbone and eye socket and was left temporarily blinded in one eye following a collision with Rotherham midfielder Pablo Mills earlier this month. "Nathan's obviously much better now he has had the operation. He's had three plates in his face and all the repairs have been done to his nose and his eye," Bees manager Andy Scott told Westside Radio. "His vision is gradually improving and the surgeon said if it was half-a-millimetre the other way he would have lost the sight in the eye so it's a big scare for him. "He's a lot more confident and gradually he's becoming less and less blurred every day, so hopefully that will continue so he gets his full vision back as soon as possible."
