Bees chief condemns invasion

The invasion, which came at the full-time whistle of the 2-0 win, prevented Andy Scott's title-winning side doing a lap of honour and the club has been inundated with complaints from other supporters. Heath said in a statement on the club's website: "Brentford Football Club are very disappointed that people decided to encroach on to the playing surface from the Ealing Road terrace thus not allowing the players to complete a lap of honour. "We maintain that the correct number of stewards were deployed but due to the exuberance and sheer number of those who wanted to invade the pitch, the stewards were unfortunately powerless to stop them."
