Bees boss pleased despite defeat
Strevens, a summer signing from Dagenham, struck after being teed up by fellow new boy Myles Weston in an encouraging run-out for last season's League Two champions.
"I thought we were excellent against a good side," said manager Andy Scott.
"We kept our lads on for a bit longer than their boys and it was a good workout. I saw some excellent stuff and I'm very, very pleased."
