Charlie MacDonald's 27th-minute strike, his 18th of the season, secured the points for the league leaders in a game made farcical at times by gale-force winds and rain. "These are the type of games where you have to come and grind out a result," said Scott. "We are a strong group and we were comfortable all night long. It was an awful game but we gave a thoroughly-professional performance in awful conditions. "I am seeing more out of these players every day. "They have got the bit between their teeth. Now they want to kick on and go further. "It has been a massive team effort, 15 clean sheets now and it's all moving along quite nicely."
