Bees boss happy to take a break

Striker Martin Gritton settled a tight encounter with a neat curling shot after the break to clinch the points against a tired-looking Bees outfit. The defeat left Scott looking forward to a week-long break before his table-topping side's next game, a London derby at Dagenham. "We looked a little tired mentally and physically but I could not have asked for any more from my players - they gave me everything," he said. "It has been a really hectic spell for us but we have a good points total from it. Now all we need is a couple of days rest to recover and get ready for the next phase of the season. "We have eight games left and 70 points - no-one else has 70 points - and we have to show the right kind of character to make sure we start on another run."
