Brechin secured third place in the Second Division with a hard-fought victory over relegated Stranraer.The hosts opened the score within two minutes when Rory McAllister played in Steven Ettien to finish. McAllister struck the post but doubled their lead in the 22nd minute when Ian Nimmo sprung the offside trap before slotting home.
