City duo banned

Brechin entertain bottom of the table Arbroath in the Angus derby without suspended duo Paul McLean and Graham Hay.

Alan Trouten also misses out again due to a leg injury.

Manager Ray McKinnon said: "Last weekend we were poor and Stranraer were excellent and we paid a heayy price for that by losing 3-1. We are running out of games to close the gap on the teams above us so we really need to win this one.

"Arbroath need a win for different reasons and when you add the derby nature of this game into things then it should be an exciting encounter."

The Gayfield side are without goalkeeper Scott Morrison, who has an ankle injury, and Connor Birse following knee surgery earlier this season.

Recent signing Kenny Deuchar is absent due to work commitments.

Player-manager Paul Sheerin said: "The players were down after losing to Dunfermline in midweek but we had a very positive session with them on Thursday and they will be ready for this game.

"This would be a terrific game to win both in terms of what it would mean to us at the bottom of the table as well as being a win over a local rival."
