Liam Watt available as bottom side Brechin look to continue strong run

Bottom of the table Brechin City have on-loan Airdrie striker Liam Watt available to face Albion Rovers as they look to make it four League One wins in a row on Saturday.

Watt was not allowed to play in the 2-0 success over his parent club last weekend but he makes a return, with only Darren McCormack (hamstring) and David Weatherson (groin) missing out for City.

The recent upturn in results means Brechin could move off the foot of the table with a positive result and player-manager Darren Dods wants to keep things going.

"It would be terrific to get another win and potentially move off bottom spot," he said.

"We have a fair bit of momentum behind us however we recognise that we have struggled against Albion Rovers and they have beaten us three times this season so it will be far from easy."

The visitors will be without the banned Gary Fisher as well injured pair Paul Willis (groin) and Andrew Barrowman (calf) as they look for a first win since they defeated Brechin 4-1 six games ago.

Their own player manager Darren Young maintains Albion can still make a push for the play-offs if they get back to winning ways at Glebe Park.

"Hopefully we can turn that around starting against a Brechin side that will have a far more confidence about them since we last played them. Our play-off chase is still very much on and winning this game will get things moving again," he said.
