Brechin bid to bury bad memory

Brechin's on-loan midfielder Jamie Masson will return to the squad for the home game against Airdrie.

Masson, on loan from Aberdeen, was refused permission by his parent club to play in last week's Scottish Cup clash at Annan, while boss Ray McKinnon will be without Callum Tipping again due to a knee injury.

McKinnon said: "The last time we played Airdrie it was an awful day when we had three players injured before half-time and lost four bad goals. I'm looking for a lot better this time out.

"Airdrie are very competitive in every game they play and we have to match that to do anything."

Airdrie welcome back on-loan Partick Thistle defender Ben Everton-Richards after suspension.

But David Proctor remains sidelined with a groin problem and Bryan Prunty is a major doubt as Gary Bollan's side look for a repeat of their 4-0 win over their hosts earlier in the season.

Bollan said: "That was a good performance, but our performance levels have been good in recent games as well.

"We were unlucky against Stranraer in our last game as we went down to a penalty that I felt was soft.

"We can go to Brechin knowing that if we play that well again we cannot be as unlucky."
