Trouten rocks former club

Alan Trouten netted a dramatic injury-time winner as 10-man Brechin condemned his former club Airdrieonians to an eighth successive Scottish League One loss following a thrilling 4-3 victory at Glebe Park.

The visitors had produced a fantastic fightback from 3-0 down to level at 3-3 in stoppage time before Trouten's late heroics.

Trouten had earlier hit a post before Ryan Donnelly, also against his former club, nodded the home side ahead in the 26th minute from close in.

Trouten doubled Brechin's advantage with a fine right-footed finish into the top corner, his third goal in four games.

Andy Jackson made it 3-0 in the 57th minute with a left-footed strike from Jonathan Brown's pass.

Half-time substitute James Lister pulled a goal back for the visitors, heading in Caolan McAleers cross, before Brechin were reduced to 10 men in the 65th minute when Greg Cameron was shown a straight red card for a bad foul on Lewis Coult.

Lister then set up Coult to head in with seven minutes left and Nathan Blockley thought he had earned Airdrieonians a point with an equaliser in the third minute of time added on. But Trouten then broke their hearts as they remain bottom and without an away league win this season.
