Hedgemen secure unlikely win

Brechin made it three Scottish League One wins on the bounce after coming back from from two goals down to beat second-placed Dunfermline 3-2.

The visitors opened the scoring when Lewis Martin did well down the right before picking out Lawrence Shankland who benefited from some poor Brechin defending to score his second goal in three games since arriving on loan from Aberdeen.

The Pars thought they'd all but wrapped up the points when Ryan Wallace scored his ninth of the season after outpacing the hosts' defence, but Brechin hit back through Derek Carcary when he latched onto a rebound after Ryan Ferguson saw his effort tipped onto the bar.

The Hedgemen levelled the game on the hour mark when Andrew Jackson scored from close range before Darren Petrie secured an unlikely three points when he fired through a crowd of players to inflict Dunfermline's first back-to-back defeats since October.
