So far so good for Forfar after Brechin win

Forfar went top of Scottish League One after a 2-0 victory at Glebe Park which left Brechin still stranded at the bottom of the table.

A goal in each half from Derek Young and Omar Kader was enough to seal the three points for Dick Campbell's men, who returned to winning ways following last weekend's 4-0 drubbing by former leaders Dunfermline.

Young opened the scoring after 35 minutes as he headed Martyn Fotheringham's cross into the bottom corner and Kader doubled their lead three minutes after the break from Iain Campbell's corner.

The hosts failed to turn the few chances they had into goals as they suffered their eighth straight defeat in all competitions.
