Left out Brazilians worthy of national team call-up

Brazil have been confident of winning the World Cup on their home field and seemed to be unstoppable all the way. That is, all until the semi-finals.

Now, when Dunga is running the team, many more footballers hope to get called up or recalled to the team. One of them was Philippe Coutinho who was not picked for the World Cup squad, but is now enjoying first-team football.

Let's look at some of those who are still being omitted despite excellent performances for their clubs.

Diego Alves

Valencia's no. 1 is one of those goalies you enjoy watching. Always taking risks, never backing down and behaving like a true leader. While Julio Cesar was playing in Canada, Alves was denying penalties by Messi and co. He managed to get seven international caps, last one in February 2013.

Paulo Henrique Ganso

Alongside Neymar, this 24-year-old was the most talented Brazilian of his generation. Arsenal have been interested in signing him for some time, but Paulo Henrique joined Sao Paulo instead. Maybe that is why he was last capped two-and-a-half years ago?

Jonas

Seeing Fred performing at the World Cup, many fans have had headaches and hope never to see him again in the yellow jersey. Jonas might just be the man for the job. Benfica's new signing was excellent at Valencia where he had scored 36 goals in 112 matches, but only one in his Brazil shirt for now.
