Brazil, hosts of the 2014 World Cup, take on Gabon, co-hosts of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations, in the new national stadium in Libreville on Thursday.

Brazil coach Mano Menezes said here Wednesday he plans to use one captain for the Gabon clash and another for his South American giants' second friendly against Egypt in Doha, Qatar, on Monday.

"A squad needs lots of leaders," he said.

"To wear the captain's armband is more symbolic than important, important in the sense where leadership must be displayed on the pitch by several players."

Menezes is set to blood two debutants - goalkeeper Diego and midfielder Bruno Cesar - against Gabon,

Gabon are co-hosting the January 21-February 12 Nations Cup with neighbours Equatorial Guinea.
