The Arena Pantanal is another purpose built stadium for the 2014 World Cup. The new stadium replaced the old Estadio Jose Fragelli, which was the city's main footballing venue.

The Arena Pantanal will have a larger capacity specifically for the World Cup, seating just under 40,000 spectators, 15,000 seats will then be removed after the tournament.

Architects of the stadium have drawn inspiration from sustainability and have placed trees and plants in all four corners of the World Cup venue.

The Arena Pantanal is set to host four group matches in total and after the tournament, will become home to local sides Mixto EC and Cuiaba EC.
