Braintree set for cup test

Braintree defender Sam Habergham is in contention to face Tranmere in the FA Cup on Sunday.

The postponement of last week's fixture against Wrexham has given Habergham extra time to recover from his recent shoulder injury and he is expected to be available for selection.

Defender Ryan Peters (leg) is another player who might return to the squad for this match and he will face a late fitness test.

However, Dean Wells is definitely out as he continues his recovery from a dislocated shoulder. He is expected to be out for at least two to three more weeks.

Defender Alan Massey will also be unavailable for this game as he is cup-tied.

Striker Kaine Sheppard will compete with Dan Holman for a place alongside Sean Marks in the Iron attack.

Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore will run the rule over playmaker Andy Robinson ahead of the televised clash.

Robinson returned from a hamstring problem to play 70 minutes against Doncaster 10 days ago but was absent at the weekend when the League One leaders drew with Preston.

Forward trio Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro (broken metatarsal), Jake Cassidy and Jake Jervis (ankle) are unavailable as is on-loan forward Nathan Eccleston (hamstring), with Moore admitting he could now be without the Blackpool player for the remainder of his spell at Prenton Park.

"Eccleston is out, he's going to be out for two to four weeks. He's gone back to Blackpool for treatment and it is disappointing," Moore told the club's official website.

"So we lose Jake Jervis when he comes in, we bring another one in and he gets injured, but we have to get on with it."
