Devonshire to make changes

Braintree boss Alan Devonshire could shuffle his pack ahead of Newport's trip to Cressing Road in the FA Cup first round.

Midfielder Luke Daley came off the bench in the 0-0 draw with Tamworth after recovering from a knee injury. He could start against the Exiles should Devonshire choose to freshen things up.

Defender Sam Habergham remains out with the ankle injury he picked up during the 2-1 win over Weymouth.

Newman Carney replaced Habergham at the weekend and he is expected to keep his place in the side against the Sky Bet League Two side.

Newport will be without Robbie Willmott.

Willmott saw red just three minutes into their defeat at Fleetwood last weekend for a handball on the line and the club's appeal was rejected earlier this week so he will miss the cup tie.

But manager Justin Edinburgh, angered by the appeal verdict, will be boosted by the news that Harry Worley, Tony James and Ryan Burge are all available to play some part after returning from injury.

Lee Minshull and Adedeji Oshilaja are both ruled out and they join long-term absentees Andy Sandell, Byron Anthony, Max Porter, Aaron O'Connor and Andrew Hughes in the treatment room.
