Veteran Bradford City striker Dean Windass has inked a one-year extension to his contract with the club which will keep him at Valley Parade until the end of the 2008-09 campaign.
The 37-year-old, who has been linked with a move to Premiership outfit Wigan Athletic this year, is keen to become the Bantams' all-time leading goalscorer.
He has Bobby Campbell's record of 121 goals in his sights and hopes to beat that mark before he retires.
"I'm pleased to have everything signed and am grateful that a possible move to Wigan was turned down on deadline day," said the former Middlesbrough and Aberdeen star.
"My fitness levels are good and I want to carry on playing as long as I can and want to get as many goals as possible.
"I keep myself fit and am obsessed with training. I even go to the gym on my day off as I feel better when training and working hard. I am not one for lazing around the place."
