O'Grady targets City impact

Striker Chris O'Grady is hoping to kick-start his career after agreeing to join Bradford City on a month's loan.

The Oldham Athletic frontman made his debut for the Bantams as a second-half substitute during Saturday's goalless draw with Shrewsbury Town.

The 22-year-old has failed to hold down a first-team place with the Latics after joining them from Rotherham United last summer.

"My move to Oldham has stalled my career slightly. I was playing every week at Rotherham, but I'm not at Oldham," he said.

"This move to Bradford is a chance for me to get back on track.

"I know there is competition for places at Bradford and that's a very healthily thing.

"That pushes people, but hopefully I can win a first-team place and keep it."
