O'Brien faces six-week lay-off
27 Jan 2010 - 11:30:05
Bradford City midfielder James O'Brien could miss the Bantams' next ten games after being told he needs to have a nose operation.
The youngster had been a regular starter in Stuart McCall's side before Christmas, but has been unable to train for the last month after breaking his nose and may not play again until mid-March.
McCall told the Telegraph and Argus: "James has been to the specialist the last few weeks and he's got to have the op.
"He took a couple of bangs on the nose and has got a crooked septum.
"Prior to Christmas we were hoping he could get through to the end of the season because he's going to be out for up to six weeks.
"He's had various injections and we've tried every angle but none of it has worked."
