McCall wants season to end

Bradford City manager Stuart McCall can't wait for the season to end after watching his side lose for the fourth time in five matches.

The Bantams lost 2-1 at home to struggling Mansfield Town on Saturday and afterwards McCall revealed this campaign has been a huge disappointment for the pre-season promotion favourites.

The Valley Parade club are currently 13th in the League Two table.

"It's a sad thing to say, but the season cannot end quickly enough for me," he revealed. "There's no consistency in our play and that's very frustrating.

"We went in level at half-time rather fortuitously and you'd have thought that would dampen their enthusiasm and lift us, but it wasn't to be."
